The 2 Keys To Lifting Progress

Hola from hot MN where I was up at the a$$ crack of dawn to get in some rowing and a short cold water plunge. I am writing you now from 30,000 feet up in the packed to the gills flying sardine can.

It felt a bit strange at the airport this AM for 2 reasons:
1) I have not been here in several months. Pre-C-Vid times I was traveling a ton. The longest stretch I was home for in a 4 year period was 3.5 weeks.
2) No masks here either! Just feels like the world is not quite as crazy now. Please don't send me tinfoil hat talk as I know even mentioning the word "masks" drives everyone on el nternet crazy.

I am headed to FL for the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) conference through Sun. If you are there, please come and say hi!

While I am there I will be accumulating more info from super nerds - which is great for sure; however it is only 50% of the equation.

In that vein, I did a podcast with my buddy Andrew Coates recently. You may remember him from the REC Conference summary podcast HERE.

I was on his podcast recently about how to gain knowledge and apply it early in your career. If there is "single key" this is it for success.

We also teased the nuance our of the common question, "does a trainer need to be fit," how I decide where to apply my time and energy, and lastly a fitness business tip about why you shouldn't fear communicating with your following (in his case email list) daily. Hence, this email!
